In February 2006 Metody Baykushev joined Dimitrov, Petrov & Co.. He graduated the Faculty of Law at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in March 2005. He has been a member of the work group that won second prize in the solving cases in Civil and Commercial Law Annual Competition organized by the Faculty of Law at Sofia University. From May 2005 to January 2006 Metody Baykushev worked as jurist in Corporate Management and Trust Services LTD. He is working in the field of Commercial Law. He speaks English and Spanish.***

Between 9th and 11th of February Mr. George Dimitrov, Senior Partner and Mrs. Desislava Krusteva, Associate at Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. took part in the General Conference of LEFIS (Legal Framework for the Information Society Project) in Florence. There were representatives of leading European universities specialized in Law education and in particular in the field of ICT Law, as well as representatives of leading European Law firms, of the ICT branch and of the research institutes. Representatives from more than 20 European countries took part in this conference.***

At the beginning of the year Mr. George Dimitrov, Senior Partner at Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. was invited by HP and took part in a workshop about E-Government in Geneva. Participants in the event were mainly representatives of different public institutions. Mr. George Dimitrov was the only expert who attended the meeting as e-government isuues consultant.***

In February a training of the employees of the State Agency for Information Technology and Communications (SAITC) took place. Its subject was the training of the employees of SAITC for working with e-documents. Mr. George Dimitrov, Senior Partner at Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. was the main lector on the training.***

On 22 and 23 February Mr. George Dimitrov, Senior Partner and Mrs. Desislava Krysteva, Associate at Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. were invited as lectors in the 7th National Conference “E-government in Bulgaria – challenges and perspectives”. The conference was organized by IDG Bulgaria, the Ministry of Public Administration and Administrative Reform, the State Agency for Information Technology and Communications, the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria, the Foundation for Local Government Reform and the Development Program of United Nations Organization. On the conference Mr. George Dimitrov and Mrs. Desislava Krysteva held presentations on the following subjects: “Amendment of the Legislation and Building of Technological and Normative Regulation” and “Usage of e-Document and e-Signatures – Advantages, Challenges and Problems. Applications”.***

On 20th and 21st of February Mrs. Monika Kopcheva from Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. participated in the International Conference on Prevention and Fighting Corruption in Administration in Europe held in Koln, Germany. The conference has been organized by DBB Akademie and the European Anti-Fraud Office at the European Commission.***« Previous  Next »
