Martin Zahariev spoke at the conference Smart Cities, Smart Industry, Smart Living

The conference Smart Cities, Smart Industry, Smart Living took place in Sofia on 12th December 2019. It was organized by the French-Bulgarian Chambers of Commerce and supported by Renault Nissan Bulgaria.
The event was attended by Krasimir Zhivkov, Deputy Minister of Environment and Water, HE. Mrs. Florence Robin, Ambassador of France to Bulgaria, and Mr. Stefan Stoyanov, Deputy Mayor of Plovdiv Municipality. Representatives of leading international companies from various business fields were among the participants. Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. Law Firm, which is an active Chamber’s member, was represented by Dr. Martin Zahariev and Vesela Dimitrova.
Dr. Zahariev introduced the audience to important legal aspects related to smart cities development and raised questions about civil liability for damage caused by artificial intelligence. In conclusion, he noted that the boundless virtual world needs legal regulation, while the mere use of smart technology requires an intelligent approach.
The conference provided great opportunities for the exchange of contemporary ideas and for establishing new business contacts.
