On November 21, 2008 Petya Aladjova, Associate at Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. Law Firm, became one of the founders of the Bulgarian Association for European Law together with more than 30 legal practitioners. The Association aims are to promote European law and its implementation in Bulgaria, to improve training in the area of European law as well as the legal culture of civil society as a whole. Alexander Arabadjiev, the Bulgarian judge at the Court of Justice of the European Communities in Luxemburg, was elected chairman of the Association.***

Оn November 6 – 7, 2008 Miroslav Ognyanov, Partner at Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. Law Firm, attended the Annual European Conference of the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw), which took place in Barcelona The Conference is the largest meeting of IT legal professionals in the world. Mr. Ognyanov is a member of the Local Representatives’ Committee and a representative for Bulgaria.***

On November 5 – 7, 2008 Alexander Todorov, Partner at Dimitrov, Petrov & Co Law Firm, and Metodi Baykushev, Senior Associate at the law firm, took part in the fifth edition of the Balkan Legal Forum held at Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan. This year the event was organized by the European Forum of the International Bar Association and the Legal Development Foundation with the support of Bulgaria’s Supreme Bar Council. Dimitrov, Petrov & Co Law Firm was among the sponsors of the event. The programme included a presentation on the practice of law in Russia, Turkey and Ukraine and four working sessions devoted to share participation, law firm management, primary public offering and competition.***
