Highly receptive and extremely knowledgeable for his age, Alexander is one of the young hopes of DPC team following boldly in the steps of our dispute resolution leaders.
Alexander’s main focus is on dispute resolution, but he is also interested in constitutional law and election process, administrative process and administrative criminal law. He joined DPC early in his studies and had become a valued member of the team well before graduating from Sofia University.
Alexander was part of the team representing a group of Bulgarian and foreign electricity operators in challenging an administrative act of the Minister of Energy which imposed a temporary ban on the export of electricity. He contributed to the successful recognition and enforcement of an ICC award in favour of a flag-carrier European airline.
Another milestone case he worked on was challenging an administrative act of the Bulgarian Energy and Water Regulatory Commission, which resulted in a reference for a preliminary ruling to the Court of Justice of the European Union. As a part of our dispute resolution team Alexander has worked on a number of insolvency proceedings and has gained notable experience with regard to medical malpractice.
