Desislava Krusteva is head of DPC’s Technology & Data practice group. Apart from leading the most widely recognized tech law team in the country, she takes pride in being legal advisor to global giants in energy, telecom, pharma and other industry sectors, having advised technological and cross-border projects from the very development of the business model to its successful launch and day-to-day operations.

Desislava is largely involved in various projects and advises clients on e-commerce, e-payments, e-governance, re-use of public sector information, e-documents and e-signatures. She has participated in numerous EU projects and drafted reports and legal opinions on artificial intelligence and the implementation of the EU ICT legal framework and consulted many state and European authorities, including the EC, Bulgarian Data protection authority etc.

Desislava participated in the establishment of the Bulgarian KnowledgeNet Chapter of IAPP and was a co-chair during the first co-chair mandate of the Chapter. She is Certified Information Privacy Professional and Information Privacy Manager (CIPP/E and CIPM). As a recognized professional for her exceptional reputation locally and beyond borders Desislava is often invited by leading broadcasts and media to comment on legal and technology topics.
