Since she joined DPC in 2015, Polya has been specializing in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial, employment, and energy law. She demonstrates sound knowledge of the legal framework and analytical approach in every task. Polya’s professional interests span through various industries including energy, technologies and telecommunications, capital markets, dual-use technology, retail.  

Polya has worked on a number of significant M&A projects possessing in-depth knowledge in all stages of M&A transactions. Her practice is also focused on structuring relations between shareholders, protection of minority shareholders’ rights, restructurings, liquidations, employment issues related to onboarding, reorganizations, disciplinary actions and dismissals. Polya has been actively involved in the establishment of the Bulgarian entities of global companies, providing continuous legal assistance on various matters including structuring the relations with the local vendors and onboarding of the local team. She has also advised the establishment in the country of global companies, the licensing of investment firms and collective investment funds.

Some of the projects Polya has worked on include the high value acquisition of SuperHosting.bg by team.blue, the acquisition by DHH S.p.A. of the shares of Evolink, and the entry of the Swedish software company Beetroot AB in the Bulgarian market through the acquisition of the business of South Gate Tech. Polya was also a key member of the team advising the buyer Exclusive Networks SAS in a cross-border transaction with one of the largest IT distributors in the CEE region as a target, taking an active part in all its stages - from the performance of a thorough due diligence through the preparation of transaction documents to the successful closing.

Polya actively supports NGOs in different areas of their operations.
